Taylor Swift showed off her lithe legs in four showstopping outfits as she performed in Glendale, Arizona on Tuesday night.

The pop star, 28, enjoyed a successful opening night of her Reputation tour - her first big show in over two years, to a 60,000 capacity stadium.

Yet some critics have wondered if Taylor's popularity is waning a little, given that she has failed to sell out her tour completely.

Starting off in a frilly rainbow dress that fell just to the tops of her thighs, Swift joined her opening acts, Charli XCX and Camila Cabello on stage.

She wore black boots and looked like the cheeriest version of herself when she first addressed the audience.

According to the New York Post, Billboard estimated Reputation has already sold more than $240million worth of tickets, which would make it the highest-grossing tour of Taylor's career, with around $300million in total sales.

Taylor is set to perform 53 shows in seven countries, in seven months.

However, the fact that she has not completely sold out her tour seems surprising to some, given her previous levels of popularity.

The New York Post writes: 'She buckled by having Ticketmaster turn off resale ticket listings on its interactive venue charts for the first leg of her North American tour, according to music-industry veterans.

'The delisting of secondary, or resale, tickets — a move experts called unusual if not unprecedented — makes the inventory of available seats seem much smaller.'

MailOnline has contacted a spokesperson for both Taylor Swift and Ticketmaster for comment.

In a show seemed designed to capture the various personas of Swift, much like she did at the end of the video for Look What You Made Me Do, the singer used her costumes to show many sides of her.
