Christian Bale Reveals Why There Wasn’t A Fourth ‘Dark Knight’ Movie

While Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight films were always meant to be a trilogy, that wasn’t necessarily the case while he was making them.

While discussing his new film Ford v Ferrari with the Toronto Sun, Batman portrayer Christian Bale opened up about his role in the films, revealing why a fourth Dark Knight movie never came to be.

“We knew we had to reinvent it. I literally had people laugh at me when I told them we were doing a new kind of Batman. I think that the reason it worked was first and foremost Chris’ take on it,” said Bale of Batman.
